I'm a Junior graphic design student at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. My journey started with a passion for art in various forms, primarily as a painter. Art has always been my way of communicating when words failed. At Pratt, I discovered that painting wasn't my path. Instead, I became intrigued by storytelling through illustration and the powerful connection images can create with viewers. This led me to love how words and images work together in graphic design, creating captivating compositions that draw people in. I found myself fascinated with branding and marketing and how graphic design helps create this brand persona that otherwise cannot be said in person, but through images and type it can project its personality and speak to its viewers. I'm also very intrigued with how graphic design plays a crucial role in entertainment such as music, film, and television and how it creates the visual identity which helps to establish the atmosphere, enhance storytelling, and immerse the audience in the narrative world, ultimately contributing significantly to marketing and promotion efforts. I wish to use this developed passion to further push myself to learn new tools and skills and to connect with people through visual language that feels as if it is speaking to the person and not at them.
